Looking Back at a Busy Year

We’re proud to say that 2025 was a busy year for BAPA!

In May, we launched our new website, a project led by board member Aldin Musić and supported by the Marketing and Technology Committee. Shortly after the launch, we began publishing articles and interviews on the website’s blog. This year, our blog published 15 interviews with Bosnian-American professionals and BAPA scholarship recipients. We spotlighted a diverse array of people, including a mechanical engineer, a pediatric physical therapist, a professor, an architecture research assistant, and a political scientist!

In October, BAPA held its 12th annual forum in San Diego, California. During this weekend of connection and celebration, attendees listened to speakers like Nidžara Pečenković and participated in professional development workshops, break-out activities, and after-hours dinners. Additionally, five BAPA scholarship recipients gave presentations related to their academic interests, which included public policy, architecture, and business.

In November, BAPA launched its Mentorship Program, pairing established mentors with students and young professionals seeking guidance when it comes to the industry they’d like to work in. That same month, BAPA also rolled out its Membership Program, offering perks to those going above and beyond to support BAPA’s mission.

All of us here at BAPA are so grateful for the support we’ve received this year from readers like you. As the new year approaches, BAPA is committed to supporting Bosnian-American students and working professionals, uplifting our community as much as possible.
