Hello, 2026!
BAPA is excited to ring in the new year as we continue to grow our organization, expand our reach, and facilitate even more opportunities for Bosnian community members. Last year, we launched new initiatives like our Mentorship Program, blog, and membership subscriptions, supporting a wide array of community members throughout our diaspora. And we’re proud of that!
However, those of us at BAPA know that there’s always room for improvement. Take a look at the resolutions some of BAPA’s board members have for 2026!
Adina Husić, Chair: In 2026, I choose intention over autopilot, consistency over perfection, growth over comfort, and joy over pressure. I will prioritize my well-being, take meaningful risks, stay active and curious, and live a life that supports my happiness and health.
Adna Avdović, Governance Committee: My resolutions consist of managing stress, having intentional friendships, tracking my financial goals, moving my body every day, learning a new language, reducing screen time, reading more, traveling to a new place, learning more about my faith, learning any new skills that come my way, and being unapologetically devoted to my family and myself.
Ariana Rizvić, Marketing & Technology Committee: Supporting more small businesses.
Arijana Čajić, Scholarship Committee and Membership Committee: My 2026 resolution is to prioritize social fitness by networking through pickleball, sports activities, and professional and personal engagements.
Elvisa Alikadić, Membership Committee and Scholarship Committee: Create space for joy. Success should include achievements and moments of peace.
Hannah Bagarić, Membership Committee and Marketing & Technology Committee: Start playing tennis again.
Ivona Ogramić, Governance Committee: My resolution for 2026 is to maintain a better work-life balance and prioritize health.
Naila Muhamedagić, Scholarship Committee and Membership Committee: Start my master’s program.
Nejla Kapo, Events Committee and Marketing & Technology Committee: To start a new creative hobby.
Sanela Gazić, Events Committee: My resolution is to prioritize my mental health, slow down, and read more!
Šejla Garbo, Scholarship Committee: My resolution for 2026 is to get back into weight training, read at least eight books, and pick up a creative hobby!
Zerina Mulaosmanović Said, Scholarship Committee and Marketing & Technology Committee: My resolution for 2026 is to focus on things that bring me joy and continue my health journey.
